Senior School students have been challenged by Chaplain, Rachel Thompson to make a difference to others in some small way.
Mrs Hawkin's Pastoral Care class organized ONE NIGHT, ONE LIFE....a Disco to raise money for preventative cancer awareness in the Solomon Islands.
The students dressed as many and varied fictional characters. Everyone from Minnie Mouse to Prince Charming. Even the teachers got into the act with Fred Flintstone, Bert from Mary Poppins.
Student Sophie said, "We had great fun organizing the night. Everyone pitched in and helped. One of the boys in our class comes from the Solomon Islands and his sister has been diagnosed with cancer. This is what prompted us to help. We raised about $350.00"
Other classes are devising projects that make a difference in the community as well.
