On Wednesday 19 September I (Mrs. Thompson – Chaplain) had the privilege of attending a Bible Society Master class held at Mueller College in Brisbane together with Year 10 students Beth, Rebekah, Catherine and Taylor. The day was designed to provide quality biblical teaching and input that would help prepare young people to be spiritual leaders of their school and community. The topics spoken on ranged from the reliability of the gospels presented by John Dickson which was fascinating , and what it means to be a Christian leader and encouraging students to use their gifts for God. During the talks the girls were taking copious notes and we had a great discussion about all the messages on the drive home – and we managed to get back to Tweed on time even with the obligatory stop at Maccas! It was also a great opportunity to see what the Bible Society is doing and resources and support they offer – from attending this day we now have a contact there who will be coming to address our chapel service on November 8 - what a blessing!
