Butterfly Week in 3/4G

This term, 3/4G are studying minibeasts.  Last week, we had a trully unforgettable experience. We had two butterflies hatch from their cocoons, one during the lunch break and the other right in front of some students. This black and white butterflies is a 'Common Crow', a butterfly that came from a round, golden coccoon (It looked like a metallic easter egg).

The second butterfly, was a male Orchard Swallowtail that we matched directly to our butterfly chart. We sat in a circle and watched this majestic butterfly dry its wings and learn to fly.
